Timeline for Publishing

Academic publishing processes take time, and it is important to understand this before submitting your article. While our goal is to process submitted articles as swiftly as possible, the peer review and editorial phases can be lengthy. Typically, the publication cycle takes a minimum of 6 months and can extend up to 24 months.

This journal is a student-led initiative, relying entirely on voluntary contributions. Most of our editors are either studying or working in the legal field alongside their editorial duties.

Credits for Publishing

Students at the University of Lapland receive 5 ECTS for publishing an article in the journal and 3 ECTS for a case comment. Please note that credits are awarded solely for published articles and case comments.

Studies, including graduation, should not be tied to the credits received from publications, and neither the editorial board nor the university can guarantee credits within a specific timeframe. Publishing should be considered a hobby rather than an ordinary part of studies.

Deadline for submission
